Gambaran Pengetahuan Ibu Menyusui tentang Asi Eksklusif di UPTD Puskesmas Pahandut Kota Palangka Raya

Background: Breastfeeding for 6 months in newborns is the gold standard. Breastfeeding can reduce the risk of stunting. Data on exclusive breastfeeding for infants less than 6 months old in Central Kalimantan Province shows districts that still have low coverage for the 6-month exclusive breastfeeding indicator in 2022, namely in Palangka Raya City 18%, this figure is still far from the target (80%). Methods: This study used a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample in this study were breastfeeding mothers with babies aged 0-6 months, namely 36 people. Results: Research on the characteristics of breastfeeding mothers about exclusive breastfeeding at UPTD Puskesmas Pahandut against 36 respondents showed that respondents based on age 20-35 years were 28 respondents (77.8%), high school education level as many as 19 respondents (52.8%), work had a non-working category, namely 25 respondents (69.4%), the level of knowledge of most respondents had a good level of knowledge, namely 29 respondents (80.6%) and sufficient knowledge 7 respondents (19.4%). Conclusion: Most of the respondents' knowledge is in the good category but there are still respondents with sufficient knowledge so it is hoped that respondents can deepen information about exclusive breastfeeding through social media and at posyandu.
